Film Showcase

NELSAC is considering a film showcase for viewing award-winning films if funding is available. 


Facebook Group

NELSAC will create a Facebook Page/Group for film Contestants to communicate and share their film experiences and knowledge.

The Contestant, or if the Contestant is under the age of 18, the Contestant’s parent or guardian, agrees and attests to the terms of this contest, including the below:

The Contestant attests that it is the owner of its film, have acquired all necessary film rights and permission, and holds NELSAC, Contest managers and judges harmless for any errors or omissions on the Contestant’s part regarding film rights and permissions.
b. While NELSAC and Contest managers and judges will make best efforts to take care of any physical media submitted to the Contest, NELSAC and Contest managers and judges make no guarantees that any material can be returned. Each Contestant is to retain the original source file of its film.
c. NELSAC may use films submitted into Contest, in whole or in part, to promote the NELSAC Student Online Short Film Contest and NELSAC.
d. Contestant will not infringe upon copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity or other intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity, unless clear permission is given.
e. Contestant will indemnify and hold harmless NELSAC and Contest Managers and judges from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses, including but not limited to attorney fees and court costs, of any claim which may arise for any reason involving the Contest.

NELSAC reserves the right to disqualify any film that it deems inappropriate or incomplete.

g. NELSAC reserves the right to make changes to the Contest’s guidelines, rules, terms, conditions, etc. and cancel the Contest at any time for any reason.

h. Contestant agrees to all Contest guidelines, rules, terms, conditions, etc., and understands it will be disqualified if the Contestant violates any such guidelines, rules, terms, conditions, etc.

i. No refunds of donations are given once Contestants pay their donations.

j. Contestant agrees no compensation will be received for the use of the film by NELSAC or FilmFreeway in accordance with the Contest’s guidelines, rules, terms, conditions, etc.
