NELSAC’s mission is to deliver exceptional arts and cultural experiences to people of all ages, residents, and visitors alike, in Leon County. Its guiding principles are affordability for participants and family-oriented events.
NELSAC was created in 2018. After organizing, it began providing arts & cultural events to the public, primarily in the northeast Leon County area. NELSAC events are held at various locations (i.e., schools, churches, parks, retirement resorts) where arts and cultural events are experienced by attendees in the areas where they live. NELSAC held it’s first student short film contest in 2020-21, which was highly successful. Consequently NELSAC changed its mission to provide arts and cultural experiences though a student film contest.

NELSAC is a federally approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and public charity. It is a Florida nonprofit entity registered with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. NELSAC accepts donations, which are federal tax exemptions for donors.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
NELSAC’s business and arts & cultural activities are governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors, who have a “hands on” managed style. Directors also serve as the nonprofit’s volunteer staff. With these volunteer efforts and none-to-minimum facility costs, NELSAC’s overhead expenses are extremely low.
